For many years, we have represented real estate receivers appointed by courts in Cook, Will and Dupage Counties. These receivers have been selected to manage and dispose of office, retail and residential projects in various stages of development. Our expertise and familiarity with the bench is unparalleled. We work closely with our clients to help them meet their fiduciary duties, while also cooperating with lenders toward a successful outcome. When appropriate, we also work closely with property owners to transition the property to control of the receiver, and, in some circumstances, we have marketed and sold properties by agreement without having to complete a judicial foreclosure. However, when we have to, we are capable of undertaking the litigation necessary to obtain control and maintain operations until foreclosure is complete. In addition, in those instances where a receivership turns into a bankruptcy case, we have extensive experience in coordinating the transition with a focus on consistent management of the asset.

"In law, nothing is certain but the expense."
- Samuel Butler
