Micah has handled debtor-creditor matters arising both in bankruptcy and non-bankruptcy proceedings. Before representing creditors, Micah's practice focused on counseling debtors and debtors in possession under Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code. From 1992 to 1994, he was law clerk to the Honorable Erwin I. Katz, Bankruptcy Judge, Northern District of Illinois. Prior to practicing law, Micah was a Lieutenant in the United States Navy.

Micah was admitted to the Illinois bar and the New York bar in 1993. Micah graduated from the Benjamin N. Cardoza School of Law in 1992.
